About

Replacement geometry for the parts the internet forgot.

2dCNC exists to help people fix, restore, replace, and improve real-world things using practical 3D printable files.

Our focus is on STL files and digital part geometry for hard-to-find, obsolete, discontinued, broken, missing, or out-of-date parts. These are the small but frustrating pieces that can make an otherwise useful item difficult, expensive, or impossible to repair.

A missing cap.
A broken clip.
A discontinued bracket.
A loose adapter.
A plastic part the manufacturer no longer sells.
A simple geometry problem that should not turn into a full replacement purchase.

That is where 2dCNC fits.

We create and organize functional 3D printable files for people who want to keep useful things working.

What we make

2dCNC provides digital files for practical replacement parts, shop utility items, adapters, holders, organizers, and other functional components.

Our library is built around parts that solve a real problem, not decorative clutter. Every file should have a job.

We focus on parts that are:

  • Useful
  • Printable
  • Practical
  • Easy to understand
  • Designed for real-world use
  • Worth saving, fixing, or improving

Some parts may be ready-to-download. Others may be generated from dimensions or developed from a specific repair need. Over time, our goal is to build a growing digital parts bin of useful geometry that helps people solve small but persistent problems.

Who 2dCNC is for

2dCNC is for people who would rather fix something than throw it away.

That includes:

  • 3D printer owners looking for functional files
  • DIY repair people
  • Garage and shop tinkerers
  • Hobbyists and restorers
  • Homeowners fixing broken parts
  • Small business owners and maintenance teams
  • People trying to replace parts that are no longer sold
  • Anyone who has ever looked at a broken plastic piece and thought, “This should be easy to replace.”

We are especially interested in the practical, overlooked parts that are too small for most companies to care about but too important to ignore when you need one.

Why it matters

Many products fail because of one small part.

The rest of the item may still be useful, but the missing or broken piece turns it into junk. Often the original manufacturer no longer supports it, the replacement is overpriced, or the part was never sold separately in the first place.

3D printing gives people a way around that problem, but only if the right file exists.

2dCNC is built around that gap.

We help turn hard-to-find geometry into usable digital files so people can repair more, waste less, and keep good things working longer.

Our approach

We are not trying to become another massive library of random 3D models.

2dCNC is focused on functional geometry.

That means we care about fit, printability, use case, material recommendations, and clear descriptions. When possible, our files include practical notes to help users understand how the part is intended to be printed and used.

We believe the best files are not just downloadable. They are understandable.

Built for practical people

2dCNC was created for people who like useful things, working tools, repaired equipment, organized shops, and simple solutions to annoying problems.

Some parts are glamorous. Most useful parts are not.

A good bracket, holder, adapter, clip, spacer, tray, or replacement cover may never win an award, but it might save a tool, finish a repair, organize a workspace, or keep something out of the trash.

That is the kind of work we care about.

Request a part

If you are looking for a part that does not exist in our library yet, you can submit a request.

Send us what you know: photos, measurements, model numbers, sketches, broken samples, or a description of what the part needs to do.

Not every part is a good fit for 3D printing, and not every request can be made safely or accurately. But when the geometry is practical, printable, and useful, we want to help turn it into a file that can solve the problem.

The mission

2dCNC exists to make useful replacement geometry easier to find, create, and use.

We believe small parts matter. We believe repair is worth doing. We believe the digital parts library of the future should be built around real problems, not just novelty prints.

If something useful is broken because one small part is missing, discontinued, or impossible to find, 2dCNC wants to help bring that part back.
